Backdrop CMS is a fork of Drupal 7, and released it's 1.0.0 branch January 2015, and 1.3.0 this past January.

In this session we'll talk about the history, mission and target audience of Backdrop; and a guided tour through it's interface and feature differences between it and Drupal 7.

We'll also go over some of the project roadmap and cool developments that are coming out of the woodwork; as well as some quality Q&A time.

Speaker is a core committer to Backdrop and has a Themer/Designer/Site Builder background.
