Drupal Team Members (Front End/ Back End)

Custom web development is a main service HS2 provides to its clients.  This position will be responsible for taking projects through the entire life cycle.  You will tackle problems and resolve complex issues for some of the largest eCommerce companies on the Internet. Working in a distributed environment, one must be able to be proactive and reach out to co-workers and clients on a regular basis.

Our Drupal Shop is growing, and there is a ton of opportunity for individuals to add value! We have multiple roles available within the front as well as backend space. These developers will interface with our clients and set the bar for future teams at HS2.

  • Deep understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches
  • Cutting-edge grasp of SEO-friendly practices and Google Analytics

  • Technical proficiency to accurately document code

  • Require minimal supervision and provide oversight for assigned projects
  • The willingness to periodically travel to client locations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • At minimum 5+ years of experience in Drupal (Magento, HUGE plus!)

Front End (Theming) Qualifications:

  • Programming Skills that include: PHP, DHTML, CSS, JQuery, and JS (Jira is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems
  • Built user interfaces for websites/web applications
  • Proficient with AJAX and SOAP/RESTful API usage
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Understanding of the entire software development process, including: design, development and deployment (back end knowledge is a plus)
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Back End (Module Development) Qualifications:

  • Built sites using: Drupal CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Backbone.js, Node.js, or JQuery Mobile
  • Experience in creating custom Drupal modules
  • Particularly within the Java space, experience with CQ, AEM, or Hybris is highly preferred
  • Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
  • Understanding of the entire software development process, including: design, development and deployment (back end knowledge is a plus)
  • A proficiency with AJAX and SOAP/RESTful API usage
  • Maintained and administered Drupal modules and sites
  • Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and Drupal theme layer
  • Deep SQL database experience (Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL)
  • Used best practice version control methodologies and tools such as Git or SVN
  • Ability to work fast with attention to detail within a fast paced work environment with hard deadlines
  • Support remote users via VPN technologies
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
