Session Description

Grouping content/users together is a problem that most Drupal sites run across in some form or another whether it is taxonomy categories, editors who can only edit certain content, students that should only be able to access to their classes content, or hosting entirely separate communities within one drupal site.

In this session we'll explore Group, an entity based alternative to Organic Groups. We'll go over when you should be grouping things together and the various options for creating groups in Drupal. Then we'll get into the architecture and strengths of Group while walking through it's interface and using it to address the problem of grouping students into classes and allowing them to only create and view content for their class.
